The
site contains six sections and navigation around the site is quite
easy. Just click on the button for that section and you will go
directly there. Also, once you get to a section, there are navigation
buttons that allow you to move back and forth through the site.
The
Courses
section lists each course that I teach and provides a brief description.
The Middle School
section gives information about the philosophy of middle schools
and the psychological development of the middle grades youngster.
The Brain-Based Learning
section briefly explains brain-based learning, learning styles,
and multiple intelligences, and is helpful in understanding these
exciting areas in education. Also included are links to other
informative sites. The Thinking
Skills section explains higher-level thinking and
main concepts related to higher-level thinking, e.g., critical
and creative thinking, problem solving, decision making, metacognition.
There are also links to other sites that can provide helpful information
about higher-level thinking. The Publications
section provides a list of my articles and presentations on higher-level
thinking and middle level learning. The Resources
section provides links to sites about higher-level thinking, brain-based
learning, and middle level schools, as well as related publications.
