Here are some pictures from our trip to Scotland in 2007:
This is in Coldstream, at the golf course called "The
Hersel"
These are all pictures of Eyemouth, where we stayed. The first
row, and the first picture on the second row, show waterfront scenes. Eyemouth
is on the North Sea and was once home to a major fishing fleet. The
second row shows pictues of Judy and I with Willie. This was right
out side the door of our flat. The third row shows a couple of pictures
of the entrance to our flat (the green door), another picture of Willie,
and a picture of the kitchen in our flat. The flat was quite nice.
These are pictures of a couple of celebrations they had in Eyemouth.
A couple
of pictures of the famous sixth hole at Eyemouth - a carry of about 175
yards right over an inlet
from the North Sea. You could hit anything
from a three wood to six iron, depending on the wind.
These are pictures from the last course we (I, Judy
walked along and took the pictures) played. It was in Selkirk, and
I saw, and remembered the course from when when were there in 1976! We
were in a little cafe across the road from the course, and I saw the golfers
wallking along the fairway, high above the road. The pictures do a
pretty good job of telling you how hilly it is. The first picture shows
a storm gathering in the west, though it largely missed us. The last
picture is me with two local guys whom I caught up with on about the sixth
hole. Great guys - had a lot of fun with them.
