3/28/05 ~ Kyle Seibert Returns from Chicago, Rumors Fly!
CHICAGO, IL - Kyle Seibert, key guard in the Championship season, is rumored to have spent a wild Easter week-end in Chicago following his non-stop celebration of the team's overtime win over a week ago.  Unconfirmed reports have Seibert dancing at the Excalibur club, known for Dennis Rodman's wild parties during his time with the Bulls; streaking down the Magnificent Mile; and climbing up the side of the Sears Tower wearing nothing but body paint.  JCV spokesman KJ Foster said he was "shocked" to learn of the incident and declined further comment.  Kyle Seibert has yet to return phone calls in regards to this incident.

3/18/05 ~ Scrubs Reflect on Championship Game
BAY CITY, MI - Several Scrubs, following a night of celebration, offered some thoughts on last night's championship game:
Mike Major - "It was a great team win, everybody played their part in the victory"
KJ Foster - "Now everybody knows what KJ really stands for: Klutch Jumpshots."
Mark Hellebuyck - "I've never been prouder to be a Scrub in my life."
Mat Hubinger - "What!?  We won!?"

3/17/05 ~ Scrubs Defeat Bay Animal in OT to Win Championship
BAY CITY, MI - Jacob's Cleaning Village, led by the clutch shooting of KJ Foster, clinched the 2005 B-1 Bay County Basketball Association Championship in a 42-40 Overtime win over Bay Animal.  The Scrubs, down by 10 with five minutes to play in the game, switched to their 2-2-1 full court press which they were able to practice against Chris Gillard and Soldan Feeds a month ago to whittle away at the difference.  Still trailing by 5 with 30 seconds left in the game, Kevin Biskup hit a cutting Mike Major for a lay-up to cut the Bay Animal lead to 3.  Following a defensive stand and 15 seconds remaining, Kevin Graczyk found KJ Foster for the first of his clutch 3 pointers with nine seconds left to go.  Bay Animal rushed down the court for a game-winning attempt, but their shot fell harmlessly into Major's arms, who grabbed the rebound and held-on for that final 1/2 second before the buzzer.
The overtime period started poorly for the Scrubs, who found themselves down by 3 with 1 minute left in the game.  Major was able to hit a couple of free-throws to cut the deficit to 1 with 42 seconds remaining.  The Scrubs defense, led by Kyle Seibert, was once again able to force a turn-over and it was a Seibert-to-Graczyk pass that opened up the floor for KJ Foster, who nailed a three-pointer to put the Scrubs up by 2 for good.

Kevin Biskup(left) and Major(below) are pictured taking jumpshots during the Championship game.  Oddly enough, both of these shots actually went in the basket, proving that JCV was perhaps a team of destiny this season.
